📄️ Serial Communication
Serial communication is often required when interfacing medical devices with a computer. This guide explains how to properly configure and troubleshoot serial connections on both Windows and Ubuntu.
📄️ Afinion 2
MedX Automation connects with the Abbott Afinion 2 via TCP/IP using the HL7 communication protocol.
📄️ Abbott Architect
MedX Automation integrates with the Abbott Architect using HL7 over TCP/IP. This setup allows seamless transmission of test results directly from the analyzer to your LIS.
📄️ Beckman Coulter DxH 500 Series
MedX Automation integrates with the Beckman Coulter DxH 500 Series using the ASTM protocol over TCP/IP. This allows automatic or manual result transmission from the analyzer to your LIS.
📄️ Vitek 2
MedX Automation connects to the Biomerieux Vitek 2 using the ASTM protocol over TCP/IP. This guide walks you through configuring communication between the machine and the Automation app.
📄️ GeneXpert
MedX Automation integrates with the GeneXpert system using the ASTM protocol over TCP/IP. This setup enables automated transmission of results to your LIS.
📄️ Hemax Series
Automation connects with B&E's Hemax Series via Serial for older models using their properietary comma separated format and TCP/IP for newer models using the HL7 communication protocol.
📄️ HumaCount
MedX Automation connects with the Human HumaCount using serial communication via the USB B port or TCP/IP via the network. The older HumaCount 30TS/60TS models use only serial while the newer HumaCount 30TS/80TS models use both serial and TCP/IP. The 5D, 5DCRP and 5L are currently not supported but can be added at request.
📄️ Humastar
MedX Automation integrates with the Human Humastar analyzer by monitoring a designated folder for ASTM output files:
📄️ Mindray BC-10
MedX Automation connects with the Mindray BC-10 hematology analyzer using TCP/IP communication via the Ethernet port on the rear panel of the machine. You will need an Ethernet cable to connect the machine to the same network as the computer running the Automation application.
📄️ Mindray BC-3000 Plus
MedX Automation connects with the Mindray BC-3000 Plus hematology analyzer using serial communication via the RS-232 port at the back of the machine. You will need an RS-232 to USB adapter cable (or a direct serial cable if your computer has a serial port) to connect the machine to a computer where you have installed the Automation app.
📄️ Mindray BC-30s
MedX Automation connects with the Mindray BC-30s hematology analyzer using TCP/IP communication via the Ethernet port on the rear panel of the machine. You will need an Ethernet cable to connect the machine to the same network as the computer running the Automation application.
📄️ Nihon Kohden Celltac G+
MedX Automation integrates with the Nihon Kohden Celltac G+ using the ASTM protocol over TCP/IP. This guide explains how to configure the analyzer to communicate with the Automation application.
📄️ Nihon Kohden Celltac Es Series
MedX Automation connects with the Nihon Kohden Celltac Series using serial communication via one of the two serial ports at the back of the machine. You can connect a serial to USB or serial cable from the machine to a computer where you have installed the Automation app.
📄️ Cobas C311
MedX Automation connects with the Cobas C311 via serial communication using the ASTM protocol. Additionally, Roche also provides a middleware through which Automation can access results from a network-shared folder. We recommend using serial communication because it provides more capabilities over accessing files from the network-shared folder.
📄️ Seamaty SD1
MedX Automation connects with the Seamaty SD1 Auto Dry Biochemistry Analyzer using the HL7 protocol over TCP/IP. The SD1 transmits results as HL7 messages over the network, which the Automation application receives and processes automatically.
📄️ Sysmex XN Series
MedX Automation connects with the Sysmex XN-L Series (XN-530/XN-430/XN-330) via TCP/IP using the XN-L series ASTM communication format.
📄️ Echo Lumena
MedX Automation connects with the Werfen Immocor Echo via TCP/IP using the ASTM communication protocols.
