How to Interface Nihon Kohden Celltac G+ with LabXpert Automation
LabXpert Automation integrates with the Nihon Kohden Celltac G+ using the ASTM protocol over TCP/IP. This guide explains how to configure the analyzer to communicate with the Automation application.
β Before you begin:
- Ensure the Automation app is installed and running on a PC connected to the same network.
- The Celltac G+ must already be added as a device in the Automation interface.

π§ Configuring Communicationβ
Setup Communication Settingsβ
- From the analyzerβs main screen, open the Settings menu.
- Select External Output.
- Navigate to the LAN section.
- Set Communication Format to
ASTM
.
Configure LAN Parametersβ
Use values from your network administrator and Automation application:
- Host IP Address: Provided by Automation
- Device IP Address: Static IP assigned by your network admin
- Subnet Mask: Provided by network admin
- Default Gateway: Provided by network admin
- Work Order Request Port: From Automation
- Receive Work Order Port: From Automation
- Send Result Port: From Automation
HL7 Settingsβ
- HL7 Start Bit:
ON
- HL7 Graph Output:
ON
Verify Network Configurationβ
- Go to the Maintenance menu.
- Navigate to the Service section.
- Select Main2.
- Click Create the Network to perform a ping test using the Host IP address.
π€ Sending Resultsβ
- Open the Data List menu.
- Select or mark the result(s) to send.
- Click Send to transmit them to the LIS via Automation.
